We know residents are looking forward to the start of backyard burn season. However, based on current weather forecasts and minimal accumulated precipitation, the Fire Defense Board, in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Forestry, has decided to temporarily postpone the opening of burn season.

As always, once burn season does open you will still be required to submit a burn permit on our website and abide by the DEQ time limits for the day.
