Want to volunteer?

If you're looking for an opportunity to make your community a safer place to live, Philomath Fire & Rescue would like to hear from you.  Did you know that we rely on volunteers to respond to emergencies in our Fire District?  We are especially interested in finding willing, capable volunteers in the areas served by our substations. We are in need of volunteers in the Wren area and in the Inavale area. If you live south of Airport Road or west of Wren hill, you can make a huge difference in your neighborhood.

We are looking for people to train for medical and fire emergency response.  Philomath Fire & Rescue provides the training and equipment necessary to safely and effectively respond to the many types of emergency calls in our fire district.

We respond to over 700 emergency calls a year in our community.  Last year, we provided over 200 hours of standby at community events and education to over 1,600 children and adults. We cannot accomplish this without our volunteers. If you live in the Fire District and would like to be a part of Philomath Fire & Rescue, come and join us!  Pick up an application at our main station located at 1035 Main Street (or download one from the Volunteers page).

We would be glad to answer any questions you have.  You could become part of the solution to a safer community!  Feel free to stop by, call us at 541.360.0030, or send an email (click here).

We will provide you with the training and equipment to make a real difference!
